THE ART OF TASTING
> Tasting cellars
As well as the big institutions such as the Maison des Beaujolais and 210 en Beaujolais, each appellation has its own tasting cellar that serves wines, selected as being the most characteristic of the appellation by a panel of professionals, to the public.
There are 19 co-operative wine cellars in the Beaujolais region, which are mainly in the south. Their scope of investment means that they are up to date with the latest available technology. Some of them, like Bully, Létra, Saint-Etienne-des-Oullières and Juliénas are developing their commercial and promotional sides (vine visits etc.).
