Bienvenue en Beaujonomie, THE Beaujolais wine and food festival, will be back for the 6th time on 13, 14 and 15 June 2025. The concept of this festival appeals each year to more and more wine and food lovers from the region and elsewhere. Wine tourism enthusiasts, save the date and book your getaway! Winemakers across the Beaujolais region have some unforgettable dining experiences in store for you!
The wine and food festival that showcases the Beaujolais region
Did you say “Beaujonomie”? A contraction of “Beaujolais” and “bistronomy”, Beaujonomie is the art of receiving guests the “Beaujolais way”. From the Maconnais hills to the Pierres Dorées, the vineyard is known for its bonhomie and hospitality. Its inhabitants perpetuate a food lifestyle based on conviviality, sharing and generosity.
Each year, the Bienvenue en Beaujonomie festival provides visitors with the opportunity to discover Beaujolais wines and the hospitality of those who make it. For an entire weekend, estates, wine shops, collectives and trading houses organise unique gastronomical events. Chefs and winemakers get together to cook up some lovely food-wine pairings. Whether it’s an elevated gourmet menu, local specialities, or even world cuisine, each meal is different, but Beaujolais wines always take pride of place at the centre of the table.
During the weekend of the 13, 14 and 15 June, the Beaujolais region will host events in 50 or so venues: take a seat at a winemaker’s table, in a wine cellar or shop, surrounded by vines or even in the courtyard of an estate. Book the lunch, the dinner or even the wine-related experience that appeals to you the most!

The 2025 edition: what’s new?
- 15 or so Parisian restaurants from the Bistrots Beaujolais network are also celebrating Beaujonomie! Planned activities include: convivial dining experiences, sharing platters, and wine tastings to sample Beaujolais wines, all in the company of winemakers brought in especially for the occasion.
- Chef Pierre Reure, a contestant on the 15th series of Top Chef France, is setting up his kitchen on an estate in the Beaujolais region!
- The winemakers of the Morgon cru are setting up a huge table in the heart of the village, where they will entertain almost 100 guests and introduce them to the appellation.
- The Refugee Food Festival is organising a pop-up event at the Bienvenue en Beaujonomie festival. On the menu? A Franco-Syrian meal cooked by two local chefs and a Syrian refugee cook, paired with various cuvées from the estate hosting them.
Ticket office opens: 23 April 2025
Key figure: 96% of people who came to the Bienvenue en Beaujonomie festival in 2024 say they would come back.

Something for everyone: dining and entertainment
As part of the Bienvenue en Beaujonomie festival, Beaujolais estates, trading houses and wine shops are organising gourmet events designed to reflect who they are. In the same way as a “four-hands dinner”, the chef cooks up something delicious while the host winemaker serves distinctive wines from their estate. The only rule: share a table, the food and the wines. Each host can choose to either invite a chef or cook family recipes.
In terms of entertainment, as well as a shared meal, hosts can offer something extra: a blind tasting, a concert, a walk through the vines, a demonstration of ploughing techniques, a farmer’s market or a tour of the wine cellar.
The festival’s ticket office opens on 23 April. Book your spot for the meal or event of your choice.
Bienvenue en Beaujonomie x Refugee Food Festival: a Franco-Syrian meal in the Beaujolais region

Beaujonomie is also all about bringing exotic flavours to our tables here in the Beaujolais region! This year, Bienvenue en Beaujonomie is hosting a pop-up event organised by the Refugee Food Festival Lyon at the Bonnet Cotton estate in Odenas. On the menu? A meal prepared collectively by three chefs and two winemakers! Charlotte and Franco, from the restaurant Table du Brouilly, and Samir, a Syrian refugee cook, have come up with a Franco-Syrian menu. Marine and Pierre, the host winemakers of this meal that will take place on 14 June, will serve several of their wines to accompany the dishes.

A wine and food festival in the Beaujolais region to celebrate Beaujonomie
Since its launch in 2019, the Bienvenue en Beaujonomie concept has been gaining more and more followers. Curious and food-loving people from the Beaujolais region, across France or even from abroad, enjoy sharing this experience. Sharing a meal with a winemaker, surrounded by good company, in a rustic setting, a glass of Beaujolais wine in hand, it’s as simple as that, but we promise, it will be unforgettable!
